- Founded in 1986 with initial capital of NT$ 5,000 thousands.
- Created ELT as its own brand name.
- Developed and manufactured 386 motherboard.

- Signed the contract of technical cooperation with IBM, and was approved by Industrial Development and Investment Center, Ministry of Economic Affairs in July.
- Invested NT$ 55 millions in March and NT$ 60 millions in December, hence the paid-in capital reached to NT$ 120 millions.

- Launched 486 Motherboard successfully.

- Set up Chainteck Computer GmbH in Germany and owned its 100% stocks.
